! A visit from the Warriors !

IMG_2788.JPG

Today we had a special visit from the warriors. They were Ken who is on the left and David who is on the right. Before I could walk into my classroom, I hear people talking about the Warriors. The moment they mention the word “ Warriors”. I turn back and ask them question. When the bell rang, I've heard that it’ll be held in the hall, and that’s after our school prayer.  When our school prayer and everything was done, the Warrior greeted themselves to the whole school. They played a game with us, it’s was basically having someone up front, and they will pick a card, that has pictures on it. It’s just pictures of food. One by one, they got prizes, not any prizes but a Warrior rugby ball and a Warrior water bottle.

That was not the end of it, they also collected all the boys from each class that plays rugby to do some drills with them. The Whole School watched them, and believe me it’s was fun watching them because I learnt others drills to do or steps to do at netball. Some other girls were actually bored, they wanted to join as well but it’s was only for boys.
I enjoyed having the Warriors around, it’s doesn't really matter if their were only two representing the others. It’s was okay. They were supposed to come last year, but they had lots of work to do so they scheduled to today, from that long year.

After that whole drill thing, we ended it off with a farewell speech from our students. Each class also took a class photo with each of them, and we did too. The boys who were involved in the drills, didn’t come with empty hands, they came with a Warrior ball, and some of them got Ken and David’s signature. The end :)

Rangi and Papa

Kia Ora everyone. Since it is Maori language this week we decided to read some of Maori legends. My group has picked the story about " Rangi and Papa. Then, we had to illustrate a picture about the story. We all worked as a team to illustrate the children of Rangi and Papa. The Legend I learnt about was about Ranginui and Papa. They had 5 children and that is Tane, Rongo, Haumia, Tu, Tangaroa. This was a very interesting legend,  I enjoyed our Maori Activity. I also enjoy reading about the Maori legend because the children of Rangi and Papa wanted to see the light and see what the world was like.
So they separated their parents, just to see earth.

Visiting Taiwan at the Hospital

Today after school was a very exciting moments for the five of us. ( Rachel, Frank, Christopher, Misiotei and I)   Because we are going to see Taiwan who is in the hospital because he has a surgery for both of his leg. He is also going to stay away from school for six weeks.  We went in Mrs Tui ‘s Navy blue car.  Rachel was in the front with Mrs Tui, and I was at the back with the rest. I thought we will be squashed together at the back, but we weren’t. At first I didn’t know I was going, but since I found that their were students going, I insist to go. Finding about Taiwan was emotional, because Taiwan was a friend of mine, but he was also a leader in my school.

On our way to the hospital was exciting for me, because I haven’t seen him since term 2. When we reached the hospital, we went to the shops inside and brought Taiwan a small gift - a flower and a air balloon. It’s was difficult for us to get to Taiwan’s Ward, because we kept on going the wrong way, and ending up in another Level.  When we found Taiwan’s ward was, I was so excited. When we walked inside the room he was in the middle of having his dinner so we interrupted his dinner. I had so many questions to ask him like, Do you miss school ? How are you ? Have you been doing school work? but nothing came out of my mouth but “ Hi Taiwan” , “ Get well, soon”. He was glad to see his friends too, Rachel and I were quite because we had nothing to say. Before we could say something Christopher said a little prayer. We spent quite a long time with him.  He was so happy we showed up. Now it’s was time to go back home, because it’s was getting late.We all said our farewells to Taiwan and his family who was their.  Before heading home, we dropped off Frank to his brothers ward, which was one ward ahead of where Taiwan was. Frank’s brother Mike was an ex- student at Saint Pius X School, it was very sad to hear that Mike has cancer, but the most saddest person was Mrs Tui. On the way back home, Mrs Tui wouldn’t let go us go  back home with an empty stomach.

So she stopped at New World, to get us snacks well the 4 of us stayed in the car.  Being with  Rachel, Chris and Misiotei in the car was fun to stay with  because I don’t usually play with them at school. When Mrs Tui came back, all I saw was plastic bag been full of snacks like cottons been stacked together in the plastic bag to make it look full and big.We all had one fruit drinks each, a bag of lollie each, muffins and 2 bags of Chips as in one for Rachel and Mrs Tui and one for us in the back.I was the first one to be dropped of home, but sadly no one was home so they dropped me off to my church.

Because on Wednesdays I have Church, so I thought my sister and Nena must’ve went to church. At the end, I found out that my sister was at home, which was funny because no vehicle was parked in our gate. I enjoyed every moments of it and had so much fun today. The end

My Baby Nephew's First Birthday

In the end of the holidays my family went to Genny’s, at Manukau to celebrate my nephew's first birthday (John). His actual birthday was on Thursday, but we went to a funeral so we celebrated it on Saturday with everyone.

I had the best time at Genny’s, because there were a lot of  people there ( celebrating their birthdays too) and a lot of  laughters too and the best thing was I was surrounded by my family.  It was strange for me to go and spend a one year olds birthday in a restaurant because occasionally when I go to some else's birthday party, it’s also in a special place , e.g : Home, Hall, or somewhere and the person that has his/her birthday wears a gorgeous outfit.

I really enjoyed my nephew’s birthday, the food  was awesome. When my nephew had to blow his birthday cake, his saliva went on his birthday cake, instead of the candle.I had the best day, because we don’t do this very often so it was good having everyone around.  From time to time, Genny’s was packed with alot of people, like mini M&M’s been stacked together. Meanwhile we were having fun. We left until 7:00 in the night, even though Genny’s closes at 8 , we thought it would be easier to leave then or else we would have been in a queue in the traffic. I had the most exciting, funniest, coolest and awesome holiday ever.
