! First Experience at Retreat !

Here is a short presentation about the  year 8's first experience at retreat.We went to retreat to reflect on how Jesus showed Tika, Pono and aroha in his role.I hope you enjoy it.

! First experience at Retreat !

On Thursday 21st of May 2015, It was the day the year 8’s went to retreat.Everyone was so excited about it they started talking about it.The very first thing we did was got split into groups.I went with Rachel and Pepe in Mrs Tui’s car. The place that we went to was called” St Francis Retreat Center, at Hillsborough“.When we reached their we met Brother Philip and Josephine again.We finally settled down in the fire room.Brother Philip told us where the rooms, toilets, chapel, dining room and meeting room was, which was up stairs.

Then it was the best part.The rooms, we were paired up to sleep in one room.I was paired up with Valenisia, which was great because we had to find out what our pair’s likes or dislikes.When I got into my room I unpacked my outfits, and hung them in the closet.I opened up our windows, and the best part was.Our number room was 26, which was my birthday.When we had a organization, we went down stairs to the Chapel.I loved the first time we went into the Chapel, it just reminded me of home.The Chapel was a good place to have some peace and quite time their.My first experience at retreat was unbelievable and I couldn't believe my eyes.I loved every second of it, I loved the smell of the delicious food that were made for us and the company.I will never forget retreat.

Holy Spirit Strand

Title -   The sky has unlocked, with a  deafening echo.

We are reporting live on this calm afternoon, from River Jordan where an amazing incident had just happened. When a man named Jesus is about to be  baptized by John the Baptist, The sky unlocked wide open, a strange voice rumbled & a dove flew down. This could be the most amazing and scariest thing that has happened in History. Everyone is in panic and anxious to see what is about to happen. According to a friend of Jesus this is one of a kind.

This is a report that my group and I wrote.Our learn was to Identify how Jesus was empowered by the Holy Spirit, and also to write a report.

First Swimming Lessons for 2015

On Wednesday the 13th of May 2015 was room 7’s swimming day..In the pools were two instructors, a girl and a boy.They only allowed 4 people in the pool, to see if they can float on their back and also swim.Then they got split into 2 groups. Group 1 was the group that needed more help, with their swimming skills.Group 2 was the people that can swim and float on their back, and I was one of them.

While I was watching room 7 swim, they were really good.Group 2 was practising how to dive/swim.Group 1 were practising how to paddle by using boards.From time to time, room 7 got louder because of the excitement that was going on.Some of them were excellent with their swimming skills.

They learnt different skills, like floating on their back, diving and swimming.They were really good, but if they practise their swimming lessons, then room 7 will be fine.When everyone learnt tips from the two instructors, they challenge each other.Group 2 was up then Group 1.

Most of the time, everyone loved to splash waters and also swim.I bet they had fun on their Swimming Lessons.

Mother's Day Writing

My Mother is my hero because whenever I’m in a mood, she always their for me.She lights up my world, with a little bit of smile, kisses and hugs.

My Mother’s name is Lydia Fohe.She has dark brown eye colour and has very dark red hair.  She’s about my teachers age, well a little older than her.  My mother is the best mum ever, she’s also my best-friend too.  I love the way she is, and I’m sure their children will agree to this if this was their mother.

Mum I know I said “ I love you “, a lot and hug you. But I actually meant it, thank you for the gifts and also things you have given me, I wouldn’t  want anything else but you… You are the main lady in my life ever since, I met you.

This may be short, but it’s from the bottom of my heart. I would describe you as a wonderful person. You have a big heart, and you are a kind person. I’m sorry for those day, when I don’t listen to you and when I’m angry, but come on, that how kids act.

I really love you mum so much, thank you again for the things you give me. Thank you for showing me everything to do, if it wasn't for you then I wouldn't know how to brush my teeth, and my make my own food and stuff like that.
